Baraka Conservation Group was founded in 2004 to support sustainable marine based livelihoods. This was prompted by the 2004 Tsunami. In 2009 we started to assist the group through volunteer participation and visitor fees, helping the women expand this enterprise. This community managed aquaculture project also involves essential mangrove conservation and education, agro-fisheries support and developing eco-tourism.
